k-SDSS is meant for an Observer interested in views of Industrial-Urban Symbiosis within the framework of Circular Economy and the European Union policy context. This is the ‘world’ in which ĸ-SDSS takes place.

k-SDSS limits its operations (uses for users) to the EcoSite I-US model (EcoSite model as defined in the SYMSITES project), which is a subset of the I-US world.

From the standpoint of Stakeholders and Users k-SDSS is seen as a tool that produces plausible hypotheses about how the I-US intervention impacts some social factors on the implementation territory. This is the type of decision case study in which k-SDSS will be applied.
